MAD MARCH HARE

The original Irish spirit Poitín has been leading people astray for centuries. Secretly made and hidden in bogs and fields around Ireland, Poitín was both everywhere and nowhere.

Much like the elusive Irish hare, sent by the fairies to wreak divillmenton the land, the crafty Poitín makers were never caught. And so the recipe was passed down through generations, giving us the mischievous spirit we have today.
Mad March Hare Poitín has the warmth and charm of an Irish welcome, and the cheekiness of an Irish goodbye.

QUIETLY DISTILLED IN IRELAND

First distilled by monks, (God bless you lads), the Irish enjoyed poitín for a thousand years beforeitwasbannedbytheBritsin1661.Butwe are resilient and poitín never really went away. It remained part of Irish drinking culture and you always knew a man, who knew a man that could get you a bottle. Made legal again in 1997, poitín can now be found on back bars all across Ireland, instead of under the counter.
